Vrroommmmmmmmmmm...

The elevator rings a low tone as it goes up, and with this moment of silence, you start reminiscing. You were awake for only 4 hours but what must have felt like countless of years in that machine, and it was your job to find the artifact is (or at least, was) the humans race only chance of achieving Tranquillity. It ended up trapping you in the system for what felt like years. And now, you're at the main operations base after an attack by a bunch of aliens, leaving you no time to react, and now, wandering around, confused and lost. Why did all of this happen? How long were you-

DING

The sound of the elevator stopping and its doors opening stops your current line of thinking. As you walk out, it's dark and murky, but you can still see and make out a bunch of dead bodies... presumably most of them were human, but the bodies are too mutilated beyond recognition to tell. You start to hear a sound from afar... it would be re-assuring, but... that noise doesn't sound human to you...

And as soon as you turn the corner, you realize that it isn't a human.

BAM

You feel your body getting lunged backwards, slamming against the wall of the elevator, as your head spins so much to the point where you can't tell your left from your right.

As deliriously as you can, you open your eyes and regain your sense of balance.

You see a non-human figure, with legs that don't look like it should be physically possible to stand, with its limbs contorted in such a way that even its movement feels bent and unnatrual. What you think are its arms are so unnatrually bent and black that it looks like it came from the literal darkness itself. It looks at you with... what you think are its eyes.

It's ruthless, and it's coming at you.

Gurwooahsoahsoah...

After a battle, you managed to defeat the alien. It wasn't exactly clean, you ended up going away with a few cuts and scraps in your suit, but you can still stand, at the very least. With slightly haggered breathing, you walk and turn around the corner.

You see something that you wouldn't expect would be here.

One of the Alien Ships.

You presumably think it crash-landed here, but it's suprisingly clean and there's no real markings that would signify a crash... almost like it was teleported here. It all looks un-natrual and odd and nothing a normal human ship would look like.

As you start to approach, you start to notice something... there is a small gem inside the ship, you reach up and grab the gem out the ship.

You feel an increasing sense of existential dread

The Alien Ship Glows.

The light is blinding and lights up the entire room, you feel as you have made a large mistake towards human kind.

You hear an unnerving noise, a sonar? But sonar doesn't work on land? Or so you thought...

sorry if there is any double notes or weird note placements, my mouse double clicks sometimes and im pretty sure pctyx 210.1 has a double place issue, but i tried my best to find them

i also know who to storyboard now, so thats a mistake to all the cytoid community
