Rhythm Attack Assault Aerial Ascension Attack!

The April Fools joke here is that nobody probably cares about this anymore and I also have to be emotionally vulnerable! ;-;

So, before Cytoid, before Cytus, and heck, even before I got into rhythm games in general, there was this little game I played way back when on a website called NotDoppler.com. And it went by the name of... Super Crazy Guitar Maniac Deluxe 4. (or just SCGMD4.)

I poured a LOT of time into this game. It was one of my earliest childhood memories that I can still remember to this day, sitting down on my old computer that still ran Windows XP of all things and just booting up Flash Game websites and having a look around. But, this game, means a lot to me. It's... probably one of the earliest influences for both my taste in music and where my interests would lead me. I could not possibly be here without it now, and if I were, it would probably have looked very different.

And this song, every time, always played when I booted this game up. This was way before I even know what an "artist" was, mind you. I didn't even know who made this track, but I always remembered how the riff goes, and the songs, god how compressed they were, they were my memories. I might chart more of them down the line if I can ever find higher quality audio recordings of the stuff, honestly. They're a relic of the early 2000s, that sorta punk rock era or just rock in general, honestly. I don't think anyone I know of who even plays Cytoid anymore would even know or remember this gem of a game, but for me... this has laid the groundwork into who I would become today, if anything.

I will also say now: This chart is probably not that well made. I don't think it's realistically my best work, nor do I think you should play it "because it's me". Only play it if you think it's worth your time, and you think it's good. I've never been that good at charting rock in general, or realistically anything outside the bounds of electronic music, and I think that this chart has some problems with it. There's a quite a few that I found personally, but I'm afraid to say I'm just not skilled enough for it. I just wanted to make this because of my own nostalgia, my own memories, and the silly little hope that someone, somewhere out there, will probably remember this game as fondly as I did, and find revisiting it fun again.

Time, however, is a fickle thing. Flash has died. It's been over a year since Adobe shut it off. NotDoppler's website has now rebranded into something I no longer recognize. And I am almost 18 years old now. I have a flight to America that I need to catch in a few hours in order to do stuff that moves my life forward. But despite all of that... I just want to indulge in my own childhood. Just, one more time. So... let's hope back into that 4-fret, fight against Pirates, a Pizza Guy, and the God Of Time, and see where it takes us.

Thank you for reading this all the way through by the way. I'll see you soon. :p
