i've missed you. i can't let go of you. i haven't gone a day without having my thoughts stray back to you. one day, i'll forget your face, but i don't ever want that to happen. together, we could have gone to the ends of this world or touch the heavens; without you, i'm aimless. i know i'll have to leave you behind, but the unknown is both terrifying without you to guide me. i want our memories together to stay, all our joys, all our arguments, and every mundane moment in between. i remember when you made me, when you exiled a friend to protect me. i remember the time you saved me, when we shaped this world together. when we made a child of our own, of fighting each other about the barrier. i don't want to remember that night when the scarlet eyes watched from the shadows, how you threw yourself in front of me. i don't want to remember my howl of misery, you saving me once more. i never wanted it to end. i never wanted to say goodbye. even today, i don't want you to leave. addy, please don't go.
